History
Bouygues Immobilier is the result of the development, then the merger of 3 companies: Stim, Bâtir and France Construction. It is now a major property developer in France and operates in 5 European countries.
Its origins: Stim, Bâtir and France Construction
1952: Francis Bouygues formed the company Francis Bouygues, specialised in industrial work and the building sector in the Paris region.
1956: the company Francis Bouygues formed Stim (Société de technique immobilière), a property development subsidiary.
1974: the creation of France Cottages, which later became France Construction, led to the development of villages of individual houses, in the Paris suburbs.
1979: the company Maison Bouygues acquired Bâtir, a company with a strong presence in Northern France, specialised in building individual houses.
1985: Stim, Bâtir and France Construction became subsidiaries of a new holding company, Bouygues Immobilier.
Growth continued under a single banner, Bouygues Immobilier
1990: Bouygues Immobilier set up 2 subsidiaries, Bouygues Immobilien in Germany and Bouygues Inmobiliaria in Spain.
1995: Stim and Bâtir merged to form Stim Bâtir.
1996: Bouygues Immobilier obtained ISO 9001 certification thanks to its quality approach, thus becoming the 1st French developer to be certified.
1998: Bouygues Immobilier acquired the Compagnie des Métiers du Commerce, specialised in designing and marketing shopping centres.
11999: on 1st January, the merger of Stim Bâtir and France Construction became effective. All the activities were henceforward grouped together under the Bouygues Immobilier banner.
The group’s international development and commitment to sustainable development
2000: 2 new subsidiaries were set up, Bouygues Imobiliária in Portugal and Bouygues Immobilier Polska Sp. z o.o. in Poland.
2001: Bouygues Immobilier acquired 66% of the capital of the company H4 Valorisation, now called ValPar Immo, from EDF.
2003: the 2000 version of the ISO 9001 certification was extended to all the activities of Bouygues Immobilier in France.
2004: the Belgian subsidiary Bouygues Immobilier Belgium was formed.
Bouygues Immobilier has launched and is developing its sustainable development approach for residential housing programmes: AgirVert®.
2005: Bouygues Immobilier acquired the Société Lyonnaise de Construction.
2006: Bouygues Immobilier developed its urban development activity in partnership with local authorities. Its subsidiary Maisons Elika, whose homes are intended for low-income families, was launched.
2007: Bouygues Immobilier acquired Blanc & Cie, a key property developer in the Grenoble region
Since July 2007, Housing & Environment certification has been sought for all planning applications filed concerning residential property in France. Bouygues Immobilier is the first property developer to make such a commitment.
