The company’s profit and the personal satisfaction of employees depend on the risks taken and the related responsibilities. The company recognises that the possibility of mistakes is an inevitable part of risk-taking.
Risk-taking is essential to the company’s activities, but it is essential to control risks and disregarding them can have catastrophic consequences.
All Bouygues Immobilier employees have the mindset of an entrepreneur:
- they must be capable of taking risks and assuming them, working on a transparent basis with their line managers;
- they must be capable of identifying accurately all risks and mastering them, by anticipating appropriate solutions and controlling them at all times;
- they must ensure that the expected margin obtained is in line with the level of risk incurred.
Ethics and honouring commitments

Bouygues Immobilier’s employees have strong personal ethics and business values.
The company’s credibility is based on their ethical behaviour, the transparency of their day-to-day actions, honesty, integrity and respect for others. No company can survive without the trust of its clients, its shareholders and financial stakeholders and its employees.
This obviously covers material honesty: no Bouygues Immobilier employees must benefit materially from their position other than through the remuneration provided for in their contract of employment.
But this requirement goes even further: all employees formally bind the company in performing their duties. They must act within the powers granted to them in order not to make any commitments, on behalf of the company, that the company cannot respect vis-à-vis third parties or business partners.
The same rule applies to commitments made by employees in their own name vis-à-vis their managers and colleagues (in particular as regards career progression and remuneration).
The Group’s code of ethics stipulates the principles which have to guide our actions.
